On my initial table talk with Ruchi Narain, the director; she gave me a clear picture on the requirement of actors who would be suitable and eventually bridge the connect between their characters and the audience. We made presentations for all crucial characters and then made a shortlist of our preferred options. That’s the casting process we followed!”
‘The hunt for the Namrata’s part was a rigorous one, she was our Karmma afterall. A very crucial casting for the series. We did multiple set of tests before we zero’ed down on her I think what’s most interesting about Namrata Sheth is that she has a very mysterious look which is what we wanted given the story, needless to say she’s a very hardworking girl and she was ready to put in all the work and more.,’’ Panchami waggishly recalls.
‘’Varun Sood” was one of our leads for the character of Ahaan, Raveen Tandon’s on-screen son. The part indicates a privileged boy whose had everything he put his finger upon but at the inside he plays a sensitive boy whose looking just for love. Varun has an extremely likable persona on camera (and off camera) from his very first test we wanted him to be our Ahaan. We went ahead and auditioned many more actors for Ahaan and eventually circled back on him, no other test sat as well as his!
