Mumbai :Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr’s Ginny Weds Sunny 2 is all set to release in cinemas on April 24. The ensemble looks fresh and promising, and so does the story of two people wanting to get married and being amusing victims of circumstances. And the film also marks the debut of actress Himannee Aarya Bhatia for the big screen. Her journey has been anything but easy, from B.Com to Law to theatre to web shows to short films to advertisements to music videos and finally, to the big screen.
In an exclusive interview, the actress spoke about her inspiration in the industry and the reason why she opted for acting as her profession and passion.
Bhatia opened up about her inspirations and said, “I think I am a little old school so I would go a little back in time. I would say the late Madhubala was absolutely beautiful when I first saw her on screen. She was very raw and innocent. She was always living the character. I adore her, I am a major fan of hers. I also really admire Zeenat Aman. She was incredible and still looks amazing.”
The actress added, “There’s also Raveena Tandon because of how much she has done for our society and animals. When i admire someone, it’s like many aspects of them. Dev Anand- He was incredible and amazing. We are so lucky that we have so many inspirations to look up to. I remember being a major fan of Madhuri Dixit, she was absolutely beautiful. She would always light up the screen.”
“Right now, the biggest inspiration for me is Aditya Dhar because when I read about his journey, he is such an inspiration. He’s the hope for all the outsiders to never give up. He’s someone who I really look up to and wish to work with one day. He’s a game changer. Yami Gautam is one of the finest actresses I have ever seen. She’s incredible and I am blown away by all her performances. She has slayed in Haq. And how can I not look up to Kangana Ranaut being an outsider! There’s nobody like her. We are lucky that we have so much talent in our country.”
“Then there’s another name who kind of started all of this and that is Devika Rani. She’s the one who launched Madhubala. I deeply admire her. Another dream collaboration I have is with Imtiaz Ali, because his stories and the way he writes female characters for his movies, nobody can do like that.”
