In order to detect their presence and the uterine condition, gynecologists and fertility experts perform Hysterosalpingogram or HSG, an x-ray test in which a dye is injected through the cervix to flow through the uterine cavity and tubes and monitored through x-rays.
It is also possible that the pregnant women suffering from Asherman’s Syndrome, a rare condition in which the uterus is full of intrauterine adhesions or scar tissue. The presence of the tissues thickens the uterine walls and very little empty space is available in the uterus. Women with Asherman’s Syndrome complain of pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding and infertility. Moreover, Asherman’s Syndrome is treatable and hence fertility experts emphasize on ascertaining the reasons for recurrent miscarriages through in depth medical evaluation.
