The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of the Assam Royal Global University organized an awareness session on the “Creation of innovative business ideas” amongst its female students and faculty members on 1st July 2022. Mrs. Rumi Borah, State president, of Assam Women Entrepreneurship Council (WICCI) was the resource person.
The session was attended by Dr. Alak Kumar Buragohain, Chairperson Academics, Royal Global University and President IIC, Mrs. Momi Baruah, and Nitul Senapoti from WICCI and student and faculty participants.
The two-hour-long session was an engaging experience for the students. The end of the program culminated in the generation of several highly innovative ideas from amongst the students in various domains of Commerce, management, food technology, biotechnology, and economics. Earlier Prof. Alak Kr. Buragohain, Chairperson of Academics, RGU in his inaugural speech highlighted the potential and status of female entrepreneurship in the country and at the global level.
Next, the session was taken over by the invited speaker Madam Borah who helped the students by sharing the various stages of the entrepreneurial journey. Madam motivated them by citing the hardships she faced and the position she has reached now. And the key to success is hard work and tenacity.
Students were very enthusiastic and participated in the session wholeheartedly. The program ended with the distribution of gifts as a token of appreciation to the idea pitchers.
