Nepal President: Nepal’s President Poudel’s health not improving, referred to Delhi’s AIIMS from Kathmandu

Nepal’s President Ram Chandra Poudel is being shifted from Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital Maharajganj to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi due to lack of improvement in his health condition. Due to sudden deterioration of his health yesterday, he was admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital after Padol’s oxygen level dropped.

In the follow-up yesterday, it was found that he has an infection in his lungs, due to which he has been admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi today. He has been taking antibiotics for 15 days but his condition has not improved, the Kathmandu Post newspaper quoted an adviser to the president as saying. Due to this, he has been admitted to the hospital for the second time within a month.

Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ also reached Ram Chandra Poudel’s hospital yesterday to inquire about his health. There he inquired about the well being of President Paudel. President Paudel has been hospitalized for the second time within a month. In early April, the President had complained of abdominal pain after which he had to be immediately admitted to the hospital.

Team of officers constituted for the health of Paudel

Due to the deteriorating health of Ram Chandra Paudel, in the cabinet meeting on Tuesday, it was decided to depute a team of government officials for the treatment of President Paudel. A Nepal government minister said that the team will assess the President’s illness and submit a report to the government. After receiving the report of the team, decisions will be taken on the treatment of the President. However, now he has been referred to AIIMS due to a lung infection.
