Kisan Vikas Patra: In this post office scheme, now the money will double faster than before, it will take only so many days

Kisan Vikas Patra: Kisan Vikas Patra is one of the most popular schemes of the post office. Recently there has been a big change in this scheme. Under this, now the money invested in Kisan Vikas Patra will double sooner than before. Apart from this, the government has also increased the interest in the money invested in this scheme.

Know how many days the money will double?

The amount invested in the post office’s Kisan Vikas Patra will now double in just 115 months. Earlier the money in this scheme used to double in 120 months. Explain that the interest on the amount invested in Kisan Vikas Patra is calculated on the basis of compound interest.

Earlier money used to double in 123:

Earlier, the maturity period of Kisan Vikas Patra was reduced from 123 months to 120 months in January 2023. Now it has been further reduced to just 115 months.

Gets 7.5% interest:

In Kisan Vikas Patra, for the first quarter of April to June 2023, the government has increased the interest by 30 basis points. That is, now 7.5 percent interest will be available. The new interest rates have come into effect from April 1, 2023.

You can invest 1000 rupees:

Investment can be started from 1000 rupees in Kisan Vikas Patra. There is no limit on the maximum investment in this scheme. Investment can also be made in Kisan Vikas Patra by opening a joint account. In this scheme, the account of a minor below the age of 10 years can also be opened. An adult can open an account on behalf of a minor. As soon as the minor completes 10 years of age, the account will be transferred to his name.

How to open account in Kisan Vikas Patra?

To open an account in Kisan Vikas Patra, an application has to be filled in at the post office. Along with this, the investment money will have to be paid in cash, check or demand draft. Apart from this, it can also be opened online.

Step 1- Log in to Internet Banking on the Post Office website.

Step 2: Click on ‘Common Services’ > Service Request > ‘New Request’.

Step 3: After that click on the NSC account. Here you will get the link to open an NSC account and KVP accounts to open KVP account.

Step 4: Enter the amount for which NSC is to be opened with a minimum of Rs 1000 and in multiples of 100.

Step 5: Select the PO Savings Account linked to the Debit Account.

Step 6: Click on the ‘Submit Button’ to read the terms and conditions.

Step 7: After that deposit the money online.

Step 8: Enter the transaction password and submit.

Step 9: Login again to view the details of the NSC opened through the account.
