Khayal Apne Buzoorgon Ka – An initiative by Daksh Foundation

On 25th September 2022, Daksh Foundation organized an event “Khayal Apne Buzoorgon Ka” (Take care of our elders) at DAV Institute of Management (DAVIM), NIT Faridabad in association with Indian Red Cross Faridabad, Faridabad Police, District Legal Services & Administration Department, Radio Manav Rachna supported by Dr. Pushpendra Pratap Singh & Sarvodaya Hospital.

Distinguishable Chief Guest Ms. Sukriti Goyal, Chief Judicial Magistrate & Secretary District Legal Services Authority, and Ms. Sushma Gupta, Vice Chairman, Haryana Red Cross Society were present on the occasion.

Dr. Satish, Principal Director & Inspector Ms. Savita were special guests on the occasion. The Chief Guests were presented with Saplings by the organizers. Program sponsor Dr. Pushpendra Pratap Singh made an impactful involvement in the event and infused attendees with his energetic powerful speech. Dr. Singh is a Member of the Chief Advisory Board – Corporate Affairs, Daksh Foundation. During his inaugural speech, he affirmed youngsters to come forward and hold the hands of elders of our society. He acknowledged the need for accumulative support from the Corporate World to work for the elevation of society by intensifying their participation in social affairs. Such corporate must associate with social contributors like Daksh Foundation to make the environment comfortable and give the elderly meaning in their life. Dr. Singh, Country Head, Asia Shipping International Transport Pvt. Ltd, (a Brazilian Based company) is a Sociopreneur, Anthropologist, corporate Strategist, and Business Analyst besides Shipping & Logistics expert professionally.

The event was launched with the lighting of the lamp jointly by Chief Guests, Special Guests, and event Sponsor Dr. Pushpendra Pratap Singh along with eminent Senior Citizens.

A drawing competition was held wherein more than 75 Senior Citizens made their distinguished presence with their grandchildren. DLSA & Faridabad Police appraised attendees about their rights in Senior Citizen Act-2007 along with Cybercrime in depth. A Free Check-up Camp was organized for the elderly by Sarvodya Hospital, Sector-8 Faridabad wherein expert doctors tested Blood Pressure, ECG, Diabetes, Uric Acid, etc along with General Check-up.

Red Cross Society, Faridabad extended their helping hands by registering artificial limbs for senior citizens in desideratum. The same shall be delivered once prosthesis is ready. Everyone present in the ceremony administered an oath by the “Dadhichi Deh Daan Samiti” to donate their organs posthumously to those in need.

NN Mathur, Dr. Deepak, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Mr. Bijendra Saraut, Secretary Red Cross Society, Mr. Purushottam Saini, Mr. Nitin Uppal, Ms. Riya Chitkara, Mr. Ram Sharma, Mr. Anurag Gupta, Mr. Bhavya Kaushik, Mr. Vikas Bhatia, Mr. Hanish Bhatia, and Mr. Rakesh Tyagi made their imperative contributions. Honored Guests were Col. Gopal Singh, Mr. Ajay Srivastava, Mr. Satveer Kadian, Mr. Tarun Gupta, CA, Mr. Manoj Duhan, Mr. Pravesh Malik, etc.

Dr. Ankur Sharan, Chief Operating Officer of Daksh Foundation enthralled the attendees by appealing to join the “Take care of your elders” Campaign & contribute to the elevation of destitute, grief-stricken people. He amused and enthralled audiences with his jest and witticism. At the same time, urged everyone to put themselves forward for social causes. Ms. Sonia, Director of Daksh Foundation, expressed gratitude to the attendees.
A sequel to this event has been designed for 1st October 2022 at Sarvodaya Hospital Auditorium, Sector-8, Faridabad with 11 different Categories in Drawing Competition. Lifetime Achievement Awards for seniors above 65 years would also be distributed to people who contributed to Society elevation. A cultural program would be followed by lunch for the senior citizens.
