Inauguration of Gujarat’s First Space Lab – “Kalam Sarabhai Space Innovation Lab” by Spark Skills Development Institute Inaugurated by Director Nilesh M. Desai of ISRO’s Space Applications Centre at Ahmedabad.
Ahmedabad, Gujarat – In a momentous occasion, Gujarat witnessed the inauguration of its inaugural Gujarat’s First Space Lab – Kalam Sarabhai Space Innovation Lab on November 9, 2023. The lab, a testament to India’s prowess in space exploration, was inaugurated by Shri Nilesh M. Desai, the esteemed Director of ISRO’s Space Applications Centre in Ahmedabad. The distinguished Shri Nilesh M. Desai, Director of ISRO’s Space Applications Centre (SAC) in Ahmedabad, graced the occasion, marking the beginning of a new era in space exploration and innovation within the region.
This pioneering initiative is powered by ISRO under its Space Tutor Program and brought to fruition by Vyomika Space Academy. Educationist Khushbu Fenil Shah and CA Fenil Shah, Global Career Counsellor a dynamic couple, spearheaded the project through their Spark Skills Development Institute. This cutting-edge lab, a manifestation of India’s commitment to space advancements, is powered by ISRO through its Space Tutor Program. Vyomika Space Academy, in collaboration with the Spark Skills Development Institute led by the dynamic couple Khushbu and CA Fenil Shah, played a pivotal role in bringing this initiative to fruition.
During the inauguration, Director Nilesh Desai extended his heartfelt congratulations to all involved, emphasizing the importance of fostering space education and innovation among students. He appreciated the Space Lab as a very well thought Skills Venture of Spark Skills Development Institute founded by Khushbu Shah, CA Fenil Shah & Shalini Deepak Singh. His encouraging words emphasized the crucial role of such initiatives in nurturing the next generation of space enthusiasts and innovators. The event marked not only the physical opening of a lab but also the metaphorical opening of doors to endless possibilities in space exploration and education for the students of Gujarat.
Guest of Honour was Mr. Deepak Singh ,Scientist ,Human Space Flight Technology Group-Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Dr. Pratik from Mumbai & various other renowned distinguished educationists of Ahmedabad.
The collaborative efforts of Vyomika Space Academy’s founder and director, Mr. Govind Yadav, and his dedicated team were instrumental in the establishment of this state-of-the-art space innovation lab. The relentless efforts of Mr. Govind Yadav, founder and director of Vyomika Space Academy, alongside his dedicated team, were instrumental in transforming the vision of the Kalam Sarabhai Space Innovation Lab into a reality. Their commitment to excellence and passion for space education has truly set this lab apart as a center for learning and innovation.
To create curiosity for Space, Lab has Astronomy Zone, Innovation Zone, Robotics Zone, Rocketry Zone, Aviation Zone & 3D Printing Zone. Visitors can visit lab and know their interest & if interest is there can learn in depth by various course of Space. Space Lab is an initiative to create awareness of Space in all ages and in an interesting and unique manner.
Under the dynamic mentorship of CA. CS. Fenil Shah, the lab will aim to show how Space Education is not just restricted to just Science but can also be explored by Commerce & Entrepreneur enthusiasts. CA. The visionary leadership of Dr. Pratik Mungekar, a Distinguished Professor and Scientist, ensured the lab’s establishment as a hub for groundbreaking research and education in space sciences. His guidance has set the foundation for a thriving space innovation ecosystem within Gujarat.
Also the students of Slum school run by Sukrut Parivar Charitable Trust, a registered NGO joined the event & got opportunity to interact with ISRO Officials.
