While taking action regarding ille-
gal coal and sand under
Barkagaon police station area, the police
seized an illegal coal laden tractor of
about 3 tonnes on Thursday night. On
the other hand, 3 tractors carrying ille-
gal sand have also been seized.
Regarding the matter, Barkagaon police
station in-charge Binod Tirkey said that

124/23 Section 411, 34 B.D.V. and 30
(ii) Coal Mines Act and 33 Indian Forest
Act regarding 1 tractor loaded with 3 tons of illegal coal. Under this, a case
has been registered against the tractor
owner and driver as well as against the
mine operator. At the same time, 3 ille-
gal sand laden tractors have been seized
and brought to the police station. Case
number 42/23 has been registered
regarding the matter. And for further
action, it has been sent to Hazaribagh
District Mining Officer by Barkagaon
Zonal Officer. He further said that ille-
gal coal and sand business will not be
allowed to run in the area. Action will
definitely be taken if caught.
