  1. Please enlighten your readers about yourself.

Ankita Since I was nine years old when a close relative gave me Adventures of Tintin, I’ve been a voracious reader. I am a lawyer by profession and a Mediator & Disputes Resolution Counsel by occupation. Although several of my legal writings have been published on various platforms, I have long aspired to be a published fiction novelist.

I was born in the lovely city of Siliguri and now reside in the peaceful country of Sweden. My favorite authors are Rabindranath Tagore, Satyajit Ray, Sidney Sheldon, and Nicholas Sparks. Aside from reading, I’m a major movie fan.

  1. When did you discover you wanted to write a book for the first time?

Ankita I knew I wanted to be a novelist after reading Sidney Sheldon’s ‘Bloodline.’ At the time, I was in ninth grade.

  1. What is the subject of your book Crimson Skies?

Ankita My novel is a romantic suspense thriller set against a political backdrop. Raghav and Areeti, the protagonists, reunite by chance and relive their 15-year-old relationship. While Raghav is adamant about having her, she repeatedly pushes him away. However, her barriers began to sag at a certain point, and he is prone to misunderstandings.

The plot revolves around several stages of life. The plot revolves around friendship, separation, love, treachery, and revenge. The interesting sections of the novel are when new twists and people arise from dark corners of history and the present, and how the protagonists deal with them.

You’ll be glued to the book until it says ‘The End’ because of the suspense and surprises.

  1. When you’re not writing or working, what do you like to do?

Ankita Reading, drawing, gardening, and cooking are some of my favorite pastimes when I’m not writing. I am a big fan of Hollywood and Bollywood films. Aside from that, watching English sitcoms in my spare time lifts my moods and broadens my horizons.

  1. Do you have any advice for budding authors who want to embark on a book-writing journey?

Ankita We should constantly pursue our passions. Focus on what you enjoy instead of doubters and negativity. Writing is my passion, and my book is my child. It was written at a low point in my life.

I kept writing despite the fact that the world around me was trembling and turned upside down. Just as a lady gives birth to a beautiful kid after 9 months of discomfort and excruciating suffering on the last day, her pain and effort fade away when she sees the baby’s face.

She understands that it was all worth it. That’s how I felt while I was holding the book in my hands. It’s my child!

  1. What is your view of life?

Ankita Lord Krishna said in the Bhagavad Gita to do things without expecting anything in return. While it is difficult to implement, I believe it is the finest way to live. Expectations, planning, and calculating, in my opinion, are tedious and painful if they fail. I have basic ways of looking at life and doing everything without expecting anything in return.

Yes, there is no expectancy clause in the words “hope,” “wish,” and “pray.” Second, in personal relationships, pure love should be at the heart of everything.

If there are demands and restrictions, it isn’t truly unselfish, and if it isn’t truly selfless, it isn’t true. Third, never openly evaluate or condemn someone in life.

We have no idea what the future holds. God created the world, and He sits on the throne, keeping track of everyone’s actions.

I’m not talking about viewpoints; expressing them is fine. When something is generally and clearly wrong with all clear facts, sharing ideas, protecting someone or people, seeking justice and fighting for it, with civility and without harming anyone, is also clarity and not judging.

Constructive criticism aimed at assisting or guiding someone or the community/society as a whole is also beneficial. It is not appropriate, however, to judge or disparage someone in a way that demeans them and undermines their trust.

Assist them if required and possible. Regardless, do not offend if you are unable to appreciate. Fourth, there is a solution to every difficulty; all we need to do is look for it and never give up.

In life, never quit. Finally, it is critical to have patience and faith in God. I am a spiritual person who believes in trust and patience. You will be happy if you love yourself, work hard, and commit all to God.
