About The Author: Ajay Majumdar is Graduated from Regional Engineering College Engineering Branch and Post Graduate from National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai. He has worked in four famous and respected organizations in 26 years of service. Automobile, engineering, retail and media organizations engaged in different sectors from his experience. After achieving success by working in karigaree naban shakaan, he entered the Human Resources Department and as a result of working with respect there, held the highest position. In the last part of his career, he established his own organization and has gained fame by setting human resource policy, training and consulting in various organizations. He has successfully taught in various Management Colleges like X L A R I (Jamshedpur), I I S W B M, Calcutta Business School, Praxis Business School.

Summary Of The Book: We are almost unable to know about the work experience of engineers and technicians working in factories. The immense knowledge of his sentiments and teachings vanished with his departure from the world. The vast experience of his colorful work remains unknown to the common people. This technocrat writer Ajay Majumdar has recorded his work life experiences in his book “Jibon Purer Pathak”. The experience of the writer Ajay Majumdar is very rich and his scope is also vast. After working in four well-known and well-known organizations, he experienced about the company’s products, production method, distribution system, operating system, work culture.

1. Can you tell us a little about your book?

This book is an autobiography of the author giving an account of his personal and work life.

2. Is there a specific event that inspired this story or was this an out of the blue idea?

It is the collation of different stories from personal and work life.

3. What got you writing in the first place?

I thought of documenting my experience and learning that may be a source of knowledge for all, especially professionals and young generation.

4. What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?

I am not comfortable in Bengali, but I chose to write in Bengali because Bengali speaking people will be able to identify with my experience and life style.

5. Which part of your story connects the most with you? Why?

My corporate life and my tenure as an entrepreneur. This part gave me an opportunity to write about some luminous corporate personality. Since my corporate experience is wide ranging and varied, I could compare various elements of leadership and organisational culture of four different organisations. This may be a good learning for young adults who aspire to become a successful human resource professional. My work experience in a reputed media house may be an eye opener for general people. My experience as an entrepreneur was very challenging, which may be a motivating force for young entrepreneur.

6. What makes your book the one to read?

Target audience of the book is general readers and new generation professionals who may get inspiration as well as get some insights to prepare oneself for their career journey and the learning elements may be used in their lives.

7. What was the best advice you got while writing?

Keep the language and presentation simple so that attention of the readers are fostered.

8. Who’s your all-time favourite author? Which book of his/hers made you fall in love with them?

Ms Jhumpa Lahiri , she gave me an inspiration to write the book. Her books : The Namesake, The lowland, Interpreter of Maladies are all time favourite.

9. What is your evergreen tip to the writers out there?

Give a pictorial presentation through simple language.

10. What was your hardest scene to write?

Writing about my relatives who are seen as obstacles to my life. It may be due to lack of understanding and communication gap. It may look a bit judgemental which at one time I thought of avoiding. On second thought, I kept the book as a balance sheet of my life.

11. Do you have another plot brewing?

English version of the stories highlighting only my work life.
